Canvas for a cause-Safe space & voices of respect Student Service Center 11-10-2025
The Student Service Centre and Psychological Counselling Cell, in collaboration with the Anti-Ragging Committee, organised “Canvas for a Cause – Safe Spaces & Voices of Respect” on 11 October 2025 to promote awareness of safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive campus environments. The initiative encouraged students to reflect on anti-ragging, mental well-being, empathy, peer support, personal boundaries, and community care through creative expression. The programme commenced with participant reporting, registration, and distribution of A3 sheets, followed by a one-hour poster-making session on the theme “Safe Spaces and Voices of Respect.” The displayed posters were subsequently presented by the participants in short sessions, allowing them to explain the ideas and messages conveyed through their artwork.
The competition provided students with a meaningful platform to express their perspectives on respect, safety, and inclusion while creatively communicating positive messages. The presentations encouraged open conversations around student well-being, empathy, and responsible peer relationships, while the evaluation and prize distribution recognised the participants’ efforts and creativity. The programme successfully engaged students in promoting safe and respectful campus values, strengthened awareness of anti-ragging and well-being, and reinforced the university’s commitment to fostering a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive campus culture.
