BioInnovate: Academic-to-Industry Experiential Learning Visit Biotechnology 09-10-2026
The Department of Biotechnology, Brainware University, organised an industry visit titled “BioInnovate: Academic-to-Industry Experiential Learning Visit” on 9 October 2026 at AM Educare Lab, Phoolbagan, Kolkata. The visit was attended by 9 students of the M.Sc. Biotechnology 2026 batch and 1 faculty member. Students participated in a guided laboratory tour and observed the functioning of advanced laboratory instruments and analytical techniques used in biotechnology and diagnostic processes. They were also introduced to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality assurance protocols, documentation practices, laboratory safety, and compliance measures.
The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the practical applications of molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology in industrial and diagnostic settings. Interaction with laboratory professionals helped them understand industry expectations, workplace responsibilities, and career opportunities in biotechnology and allied sectors. Overall, the programme strengthened their practical understanding and bridged the gap between academic learning and industry practices.
