The Department of Computational Sciences, Brainware University, organised a seminar titled “Beyond the Algorithm: Where AI Meets Language & Intelligence” on 5 October 2026. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Diganta Saha, Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, who shared his expertise in Natural Language Processing, Machine Translation, Language Engineering, Text Processing, Text Classification, and Text Mining. The session explored the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence, human language, and intelligence, highlighting how AI technologies are transforming language processing and generation across various domains. It aimed to familiarise students with emerging developments in AI-driven language technologies and their practical applications.
The seminar broadened students’ understanding of Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and contemporary AI applications while encouraging them to look beyond conventional programming and algorithmic approaches. The expert interaction provided valuable academic and research-oriented insights and motivated students to explore further learning, research, and career opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and related fields.
