An Industrial Visit for B. Pharm students at Stadmed Pvt. Ltd, South Dum Dum, Kolkata Pharmaceutical Technology 03-04-2026
The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at Brainware University organized an industrial visit for Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) students to Stadmed Pvt. Ltd., South Dum Dum, Kolkata, on April 3, 2026. The visit was aimed at providing students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical industry operations and strengthening their understanding of real-world industrial practices.
During the visit, students explored important departments such as Production, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA), where they observed pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality testing procedures, safety measures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). They also gained firsthand experience of modern machinery, industrial workflow, and professional practices followed in the pharmaceutical sector. Interactive sessions with industry professionals enabled students to enhance their understanding of drug manufacturing, packaging, equipment handling, and career opportunities within the industry.
The industrial visit proved to be a valuable experiential learning opportunity, helping students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Aligned with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, the initiative significantly contributed to students’ professional development, industry readiness, and career motivation in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
