Alumni Talk on World Optometry Day 2026 Allied Health Sciences 24/03/2026
On the occasion of World Optometry Day 2026, the Department of Allied Health Sciences at Brainware University organized an engaging and insightful Alumni Talk to celebrate the expanding horizons of optometry as a profession.
The session, titled “Optometry Across Industry,” was delivered by Ms. Jaita Samui, an esteemed alumna of the B.Optom program (2019–2023), who is currently serving as a Therapy Manager (IOL Department) at Zydus.
During the session, Ms. Samui shared her inspiring journey from clinical optometry to the corporate and pharmaceutical sector. She emphasized the evolving role of optometrists beyond traditional clinical practice and shed light on the diverse career pathways available in the ophthalmic and pharmaceutical industries.
