Exposure Visit to 3rd National Lok Adalat 2025
The Department of Law, Brainware University, organized an exposure visit to the 3rd National Lok Adalat 2025 at Barasat Court on 13 September 2025. A total of 27 law students, accompanied by a faculty member, attended the visit and observed the proceedings conducted by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North 24 Parganas.
The visit provided students with practical exposure to the Lok Adalat system, including the settlement of motor vehicle claims, civil disputes, and pre-litigation matters. Students gained an understanding of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and how Lok Adalats facilitate speedy, accessible, and cost-effective justice through mutual settlement.
