Wellness For All: Free Health Checkup Camp Allied Health Sciences with Calcutta Circular Lions Club 22-02-2026
Wellness for All: Free Health Checkup Camp was successfully organized on 22nd February 2026 from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. at Aurobindo Road, near Howrah Salkia, by the Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Brainware University (BWU), in collaboration with the Lions Club of Calcutta Circular. The initiative was undertaken to promote preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and health awareness among the local community.
The camp provided free general health checkups, basic diagnostic screenings, refraction, prescription of spectacles and consultations delivered by the students of Optometry, BPA, OTT & CCT. Participants benefited from timely health assessments, counseling on lifestyle modifications, and guidance regarding further medical management when required. The initiative emphasized the importance of routine health monitoring and early detection to prevent communicable and non-communicable diseases.
By delivering essential healthcare services at the community level, the program effectively contributed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 – Good Health and Well-being, reinforcing the commitment to ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for people of all ages.
