Seminar on The Impact of Gender Stereotype on Education and Career Choice
The Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Gender Sensitization Cell, Brainware University, organized a seminar on “The Impact of Gender Stereotype on Education and Career Choice” on November 20, 2024, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Vidyasagar Bhavan Auditorium Hall (UB II). The session was conducted by Dr. Arkita Pal, Founder and Executive Director of The Inference, Kolkata, who discussed how societal stereotypes influence academic and professional decisions. Coordinated by Eshita Das and Devdeep Roy Chowdhury, the event aimed to promote awareness on breaking gender norms and empowering individuals to make unbiased career choices.
