The Institute of Nursing, Brainware University, organised a two-day professional development programme titled “Next Gen Work Prep – Ready Set Hire” on May 21 and 22, 2025, at the Auditorium, Vidyasagar Bhavan (Building No. II). The event aimed to prepare nursing students for workplace readiness, focusing on employability skills, professional conduct, and industry expectations. Ms. Piyali Bose, Nursing Director, Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata, and Ms. Dolly Biswas, Chief Nursing Officer, Fortis Hospital, Kolkata, served as guest resource persons, sharing valuable insights into clinical excellence and career advancement in healthcare. Organised by Ms. Sutapa Das and Ms. L. Suchitra Devi, the session provided students with practical guidance on effective communication, teamwork, and ethical nursing practice. The programme successfully enhanced students’ confidence and employability, aligning with SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and reaffirming Brainware University’s commitment to nurturing skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.
