Behind the Cloud: An Exclusive Visit to CtrlS Datacenters Computer Science & Engineering – Cyber Security & Data Science 20-02-2026
(CSE – CS&DS) to CtrlS – Asia’s Largest Rated 4 Data Center, located at Premises No-02-0783, Plot No-SV-11, Action Area-II, Near BSF Camp, Silicon Valley, New Town, Kolkata – 700161, on 20th February 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The visit was coordinated by Mr. Prabir Kumar Das, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE (CS&DS). Students were given an insightful tour of the data center facilities and were introduced to various aspects of data center operations, including server management, network infrastructure, power backup systems, and security protocols.
Representatives from CtrlS explained the significance of Rated 4 certification, highlighting the redundancy, fault tolerance, and reliability of their systems. The session helped students understand real-time data management practices and the role of data centers in cloud computing and enterprise IT infrastructure.
The visit provided valuable exposure to industrial practices and helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical applications in the field of data science and computing systems. Students actively participated in the interactive session and expressed keen interest in future industrial collaborations.
