Dr. Debanjan Banerjee, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at Apollo Multispecialty Hospitals, Kolkata, kicked off the seminar ‘Health Awareness Session on Sexual and Reproductive Health’ with a jaw-dropping anecdote about a man who lost vision in one eye after taking an unprescribed sexual enhancement drug. This insightful session was organised by the Department of Allied Health Sciences in collaboration with the Gender Sensitisation Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
There’s more! From explaining the difference between biological sex and gender identity to discussing marital rape and India’s abortion laws, Dr. Banerjee left no stone unturned. He talked about contraceptives and warned about STDs like HIV & Herpes that spread through blood and bodily fluids!
