Turning Numbers into Narratives: A Data-Driven Workshop on SPSS
From research tables to real-time insights, MBA students and PhD scholars at Brainware University immersed themselves in a high-impact, hands-on workshop on ‘SPSS for Data Analysis’, oraganised by the Department of Management.
Guided by Dr. Shantanu Chakraborty, Professor and Dean, IMS Business School, Kolkata, the session demystified the complexities of statistical data interpretation and predictive analytics using SPSS, one of the most robust tools in social science and business research. Participants had the opportunity to explore descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and ANOVA while also trying their hands on practical case-based data entry, output analysis and real-time SPSS operations.
The interactive format, aided by live demonstrations and practical tasks, helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and data-based decision-making, equipping scholars with a toolkit that extends far beyond the classroom.
