Faculty Development Program: IoT – Recent Advances, Challenges, and Opportunities (IoT:RACO)
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Brainware University, in collaboration with EICT, IIT Roorkee, organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “IoT: Recent Advances, Challenges, and Opportunities (IoT:RACO)” from May 24 to 28, 2025, at Rabindra Bhavan (Building V), Brainware University, Kolkata. The program ran from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.
The FDP aimed to enhance faculty expertise in emerging technologies related to the Internet of Things (IoT) and its applications in various interdisciplinary fields. The resource persons included Dr. Samaresh Bera (IIT Jammu), Dr. Tamoghna Ojha and Dr. Alakesh Kalita (IIT Dhanbad), Dr. Dinesh Rano (BITS Pilani), Dr. Arijit Roy (IIT Patna), Mr. Sugata Chakraborty (IBM), and Mr. Dewasish Pramanik (Solutions Architect).
The program was coordinated by Prof. Sanjeev Manhas (IIT Roorkee) and Dr. Sushmita Chaudhari (Brainware University). The sessions covered IoT architecture, security frameworks, industrial applications, and research trends. This FDP successfully enriched participants with advanced knowledge and practical insights, promoting innovation and collaboration in IoT-based research and development.
