The Department of Management, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an Expert Talk on “Technology Readiness Level (TRL), MRL, IRL, IP Commercialization, and Technology Transfer” on 10th February 2026. The session was delivered by Mr. Sourav Chakraborty, Founder & CEO of Sconto, who shared industry insights on transforming innovative ideas into market-ready solutions and highlighted the importance of intellectual property in today’s innovation-driven economy.
The session aimed to familiarize students with readiness levels such as TRL, MRL, and IRL, and to explain their role in evaluating innovation. It also focused on raising awareness of IP commercialization and technology transfer, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, and bridging the gap between research and practical application.
