Bright Sight: Free Eye Checkup Camp- Outreach Allied Health Sciences with Billion Hearts Beating, Apollo Foundation 20-02-2026

The Bright Sight: Free Eye Checkup Camp was successfully conducted on 20th February 2026 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Noapara High School, Chandannagar, Hooghly, West Bengal. Organized by the Department of Allied Health Sciences in collaboration with the Billion Hearts Beating under the Apollo Foundation, the camp aimed to promote accessible eye care services within the community. Students of Optometry actively participated in comprehensive vision screening, refractive error assessment, and awareness counseling sessions. The initiative not only provided essential eye health services to beneficiaries but also offered valuable hands-on clinical exposure to students. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education)—the camp reflected a strong commitment to community welfare, preventive healthcare, and experiential learning.
