The Alumni Talk Series: Alumni Interface on Academic Learning to Corporate Practice
was organized by the Department of Commerce in association with IQAC of Brainware University on
6th February 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seminar Hall, Prafulla Bhavan (Building III –
405). The programme was conducted with the objective of strengthening industry–academia linkage
through meaningful alumni engagement. The event aimed to provide Commerce students with
practical exposure to corporate work culture and professional expectations, thereby complementing
their academic learning. Our alumni who invited as resource person, were Mr. Kushal Sahal,
FinCrime Analyst, Ernst & Young (EY), Kolkata; Mr. Suman Roy Chowdhury, Financial Crime Analyst,
Ernst & Young (EY), Kolkata; and Mr. Pritam Sadhu, Financial Crime Analyst, Ernst & Young (EY),
Kolkata. The session was enriched by the presence of esteemed alumni currently working with Ernst
& Young (EY), Kolkata. The interaction focused on bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge
imparted in classrooms and its application in real corporate environments, particularly in the domain
of financial crime analysis and compliance.
