ARDUINO EDGE AI HACKATHON
CELEBRATE IEEE DAY 2026 AI and Tech Club Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) IEEE Student Branch & Institution Innovation Council 6-10-2026
Brainware University organised the Arduino Edge AI Hackathon – Celebrate IEEE Day 2026 on 6 October 2026 at the UB-II Auditorium, in collaboration with StemLore. The event was organised by the AI and Tech Club, IEEE Student Branch – Brainware University, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The hackathon aimed to encourage students to develop innovative, real-world solutions by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Edge Computing, Arduino-based hardware, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Participating teams developed hardware prototypes using Arduino UNO Q boards, applying their technical knowledge to practical problem-solving. The programme featured insightful addresses by Chief Guests Mr. Deepjyoti Das, AI & STEM Program Leader, EdTech Operations, Strategy & Innovation, and Dr. Arpan Deyasi, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata. The prototypes were evaluated by Mr. Deepjyoti Das based on innovation, implementation, technical approach, functionality, and real-world potential, with shortlisted teams receiving special swags in recognition of their efforts.
The hackathon provided students with valuable hands-on experience in Edge AI, embedded systems, hardware integration, and rapid prototyping while strengthening their technical competencies, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Shortlisted teams also participated in an AWS Builder Event and an OpenAI Workshop, gaining further exposure to cloud technologies and AI development. The programme successfully promoted innovation, experimentation, and industry-oriented learning, encouraging students to move beyond theoretical concepts and explore technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. The event also reflected Brainware University’s commitment to fostering technical excellence, entrepreneurship, and collaborative learning while celebrating IEEE Day 2026.
