Manipal Hospitals, Saltlake Hospital Management 5-10-2026
The Department of Hospital Management, Brainware University, organised an industry visit to Manipal Hospital, Salt Lake, on 26 September 2026 for the BBAHM 2026 Batch – 1st Year students. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to hospital infrastructure, healthcare operations, patient-care services, and administrative functions. Students explored various hospital departments and service areas, observed patient-care processes, and learned about coordination among departments. Interactions with hospital personnel helped them understand day-to-day hospital operations and management practices, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
The visit enhanced students’ understanding of hospital administration, teamwork, communication, and patient-centred care while strengthening their professional knowledge and career orientation in hospital management. The programme promoted experiential learning in alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and highlighted the role of healthcare infrastructure and industry practices in supporting SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
