DEBATE & EXTEMPORE COMPETITION- SEPTEMBER 2026 School of Law 29-09-2026 to 30-09-2026
The Department of Law, Brainware University, organised the Debate and Extempore Competition, 2026, on 29 and 30 September 2026. The Extempore Competition, held on 29 September, encouraged students to demonstrate spontaneous thinking and effective communication, while the Debate Competition, conducted on 30 September, provided a platform to present structured arguments on assigned propositions. Both activities aimed to enhance students’ public speaking, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, confidence, and argumentative skills while encouraging engagement with contemporary legal, social, and academic issues.
The competitions promoted independent thinking, logical argumentation, and respectful exchange of diverse viewpoints. Through these activities, students strengthened their communication and advocacy skills, which are essential for their future legal careers. The initiative also supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting experiential learning and skill development, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by encouraging constructive dialogue, informed perspectives, and peaceful resolution of differences.
