Industrial Visit to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT 26.09.2026
The Department of Hospital Management organised an Industry Visit to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) on 26 September 2026 for the BBAHM 2026 Batch – 1st Year students. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to hospital infrastructure, healthcare operations, patient-care services, and administrative functions while bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world hospital practices. Students observed the functioning of various hospital departments and service areas, patient-care processes, and interdepartmental coordination. They also interacted with hospital personnel to gain insights into day-to-day hospital operations and management practices.
The visit provided students with valuable firsthand exposure to hospital functioning and helped them connect classroom knowledge with practical healthcare management. It enhanced their understanding of hospital operations, teamwork, communication, and patient-centred care while strengthening their professional knowledge and career orientation. The programme also promoted experiential and quality education in alignment with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and contributed to awareness of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
