Free Eye Screening Camp

Free Eye Screening Camp Allied Health Science Billion Hearts Beating, Apollo Foundation

Free Eye Screening Camp conducted by the Department of Allied Health Science.

Eye health is easy to overlook when everything seems fine. Yet, regular screening and awareness can play an important role in recognising potential vision concerns early.

Taking healthcare beyond the classroom, the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating and Apollo Foundation, organised a Free Eye Screening Camp at North Dumdum.

The initiative brought basic eye-screening services closer to the community, creating an opportunity for individuals to understand the importance of eye health and timely screening.

For the students of Optometry, the camp was also a meaningful practical experience—allowing them to apply their academic learning in a real community setting, interact with people and strengthen their understanding of community-based eye care.

Because learning becomes more meaningful when it moves beyond textbooks and reaches the people it is meant to serve.

SEE THE NEED. SCREEN WITH CARE. SERVE WITH PURPOSE.
