Suicide Prevention & Mental Wellbeing Awareness Programme: A Mononiketan Initiative
SOME FIGHTS HAPPEN WITHIN.
AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIGHT THEM ALONE.
What if fear could become courage?
What if silence could become a conversation?
What if asking for help could become a strength?
Mononiketan, the Mental Wellness Centre of Brainware University brought students together for ‘The Inner Fight: From Fear to Confidence’, an experiential Suicide Prevention & Mental Wellbeing Awareness Programme designed to encourage open conversations around mental health, resilience and seeking support.
Led by Jay Singha Roy, WAKO-Affiliated Referee, UFC GYM Coach and Founder & Head Coach, House of Cobras Dojo, the session took students beyond simply talking about mental wellbeing – encouraging them to understand fear, build confidence and recognise the importance of standing by themselves and one another.
Because sometimes, the strongest step isn’t fighting alone. It’s knowing when to reach out.
