Free Eye Screening Camp Allied Health Sciences Billion Hearts Beating Apollo Foundations 19.09. 2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating and Apollo Foundations, successfully organized a Free Eye Screening Camp on 19 September 2026 at NDDM Ward No – 26, Saptam Pally, Nabin Nagar, Nimta, North Dumdum.
The camp aimed to promote accessible eye-care services and awareness about eye health, encouraging timely screening and early identification of potential vision-related concerns. The initiative provided an opportunity for community members to access basic eye screening while creating a meaningful platform for students to translate their academic knowledge into practical community-based healthcare services.
The camp was actively supported by the students of Optometry, who contributed to the screening activities and gained valuable hands-on experience in community eye-care practices. Such initiatives strengthen the connection between education, professional skill development, and community service.
