Extempore Competition 2026 on the occasion of National Mental Health Awareness Day Mononiketan 07-08-2026
Mononiketan – Mental Health & Wellness Centre, Brainware University, organised the “Extempore Competition 2026” on the occasion of National Mental Health Awareness Day to encourage students to express their perspectives on mental health and emotional well-being. The competition was conducted in a chit-based extempore format, where participants randomly selected topics related to mental health and were given one minute for preparation followed by two minutes for presentation. With no language barrier, students were encouraged to express their views in a language they were comfortable with, fostering confidence and inclusivity. The initiative promoted open conversations around mental health while helping students develop spontaneous thinking, creativity, effective communication, and public-speaking skills. Overall, the competition provided a meaningful platform for engaging with mental health themes and contributed to creating a more aware, supportive, and mentally healthy campus environment.
