CPR Skills Awareness

CPR Skills Awareness Institute of Nursing Indian Red Cross Society 19.06.2026

The Institute of Nursing, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, organized the “CPR Skills Awareness” programme on 19th June 2026 for skill development students. The programme aimed to equip participants with fundamental CPR knowledge and practical resuscitation skills to enable them to respond effectively during sudden cardiac emergencies. The session included an inauguration, briefing on emergency response, step-by-step demonstrations of hands-only chest compressions, hands-on practice, interactive Q&A, skill validation, and a vote of thanks. Participants were also guided on recognizing cardiac emergencies, assessing scene safety, and promptly alerting professional emergency medical services.

The programme successfully enhanced the participants’ confidence and preparedness to respond appropriately during cardiac emergencies. By providing practical and accessible training, the initiative helped bridge the gap between emergency awareness and immediate response, encouraging participants to act responsibly during critical situations. The programme aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by promoting awareness of life-saving emergency care and supported SDG 4: Quality Education through inclusive, practical skill development. Overall, the initiative fostered a proactive culture of emergency preparedness among skill development students.
