From Campus to Community: A Step Towards Healthier Lives in Collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society
What happens when knowledge meets compassion?
A healthier, more aware community.
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and Lions Club of Calcutta Circular, organised a Free Health Checkup Camp at Bally.
The day was all about putting preventive healthcare into action, with essential services including:
Blood Pressure Check-up
Blood Sugar Testing
Comprehensive Eye Screening
But this camp was more than just health screenings – it was also a classroom without walls for our students.
Students of Bachelor of Physician Assistant (BPA) and Optometry actively participated, gaining valuable hands-on experience in community-based healthcare while serving the people around them.
From learning in classrooms to making a difference in communities, our students are discovering that healthcare is not just a profession—it is a responsibility, a connection and a commitment to society.
Together with the Indian Red Cross Society, we continue to take healthcare beyond the campus and closer to the community.
Because prevention is better than cure and awareness is the first step towards a healthier tomorrow.
