BWU Intra-Judgement Writing Competition, 2026 Law 15-07-2026
The Department of Law, Brainware University, organized the Intra-Judgement Writing Competition 2026 on the theme “Environment, Sustainability and Legal Responsibility: Ecological Protection and Green Jurisprudence.” The competition provided students with an experiential platform to develop their legal research, analytical reasoning, and judicial writing skills while engaging with contemporary environmental challenges.
Participants were presented with a moot problem centred on environmental degradation, sustainability, and legal accountability. They were required to analyse the facts, identify relevant legal issues, apply environmental laws and judicial precedents, and draft a reasoned judgment. The submissions were evaluated on legal analysis, clarity of reasoning, application of environmental jurisprudence, and quality of judicial writing.
The competition strengthened students’ understanding of environmental law and sustainable legal governance while encouraging critical thinking and practical application of legal knowledge. The initiative contributed to experiential legal education and highlighted the role of future legal professionals in addressing environmental challenges through responsible and informed decision-making.
