Oral Health Matters: Free Early Detection Campaign Allied Health Sciences 04-06-2026
To commemorate World No Tobacco Day 2026 in accordance with UGC guidelines, the Brainware Diagnostic Clinic & Research Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, organized a Faculty Welfare Initiative titled “Oral Health Matters: Free Early Disease Detection Campaign.” The programme aimed to raise awareness about oral health, promote preventive healthcare, and facilitate the early detection of oral diseases among faculty members.
The campaign was conducted with the support of a team of dental professionals from Kusum Devi Sunderlal Dugar Jain Dental College & Hospital, who delivered an informative awareness session on oral hygiene, oral cancer risk factors, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental check-ups. An interactive discussion allowed participants to address their concerns and gain expert guidance on maintaining good oral health.
A free oral cancer screening camp formed the highlight of the initiative, where faculty members underwent comprehensive oral examinations and received personalized consultations and recommendations for further medical evaluation, wherever required. The programme also emphasized tobacco cessation, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of early diagnosis in preventing serious oral health conditions.
The initiative concluded successfully with active participation from faculty members and valuable support from the visiting dental experts. By encouraging preventive healthcare and early disease detection, the campaign reinforced the university’s commitment to promoting health and well-being while contributing to the observance of World No Tobacco Day 2026.
