Free Eye Check up camp Allied Health Sciences The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) & Mononiketan 10.07.2026
The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and Mononiketan, organized a Free Eye Check-up Camp at Beliaghata High School on 11 July 2026. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare by providing comprehensive eye screening services and raising awareness about the importance of mental well-being among school students.
Optometry students actively participated in the camp, assisting healthcare professionals in conducting vision screenings and interacting with beneficiaries, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience. Alongside the eye check-up camp, counselling experts from Mononiketan conducted mental health awareness sessions, encouraging students to prioritize emotional well-being and seek support when needed.
The outreach programme successfully combined community service with experiential learning, reinforcing Brainware University’s commitment to accessible healthcare, student development, and holistic community well-being.
