Free Health Check-up Camp

Free Health Check-up Camp Allied Health Sciences The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) 08-07-2026

The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), successfully organized a Free Health Check-up Camp on 8th July 2026 at Udayrajpur Hariharpur High School (H.S.), commencing at 10:30 a.m. The initiative was conducted with the active participation of students from BAOTT, BPA, BMLS, BCCT, and BPT programs, under the guidance of faculty members and healthcare professionals.

The camp aimed to promote preventive healthcare and enhance health awareness among school students through comprehensive basic health screening services. The examinations included height and weight measurement, blood pressure assessment, hemoglobin estimation, blood grouping, pulse oximetry, and medical consultation by qualified doctors. The initiative facilitated early identification of potential health concerns while educating students about the importance of regular health monitoring and healthy lifestyle practices.

Beyond serving the community, the camp provided an invaluable experiential learning platform for Allied Health Sciences students, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting. Through direct interaction with beneficiaries and healthcare professionals, the students strengthened their clinical, communication, and teamwork skills while fostering a spirit of social responsibility.

The programme strongly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by ensuring access to essential preventive healthcare services, and SDG 4: Quality Education, by offering hands-on clinical exposure and community-based learning opportunities for future healthcare professionals.
