The Department of Biotechnology organized an international webinar on “Green Technologies for Climate Mitigation” on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, and researchers to explore sustainable solutions for addressing climate change. The programme highlighted the role of green technologies, renewable energy, and eco-friendly innovations in building a more sustainable future.

A key highlight of the webinar was an expert lecture by Supriya A. Patil from Sejong University on “Efficient Green Hydrogen Production via Electrochemical Water Splitting using Earth-abundant Catalysts.” The session provided valuable insights into green hydrogen generation, renewable energy technologies, and innovative approaches to climate mitigation.

The webinar successfully promoted knowledge exchange, encouraged research collaboration, and enhanced awareness of sustainable technologies among participants.
