The programme featured an inaugural session by the Head of the Department, followed by a key talk by Dt. Shreyoshi Bhowmik, who shared valuable insights into career prospects in healthcare, research, clinical practice, and public health nutrition. Interactive discussions further enriched the learning experience, encouraging meaningful dialogue between students, faculty, and guests.
A major highlight of the event was the hands-on demonstrations by B.Sc. students, including detection of adulterated foods, preparation of personalized diet charts, interpretation of packaged food labels, and practical biochemistry experiments. The departmental showcase of laboratory facilities and research resources added further value to the programme. Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, the event successfully promoted health awareness, skill development, and experiential learning in the field of food and nutrition.
