POSH TRAINING FOR FUTURE NURSES

POSH TRAINING FOR FUTURE NURSES Nursing GSC, GCC & Department of law 28-03-2026

The Institute of Nursing, Brainware University, in collaboration with the Department of Law, Gender Sensitization Cell (GSC), and Gender Champion’s Committee (GCC), successfully organized a hybrid seminar on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) to create awareness among B.Sc. and GNM Nursing students regarding workplace safety, legal rights, and professional ethics. The session focused on educating students about the POSH Act, the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in reporting and grievance redressal, and the importance of maintaining a respectful and ethical professional environment in healthcare settings. The programme included an inaugural session, technical sessions in both physical and virtual modes, interactive Q&A, feedback collection, and a vote of thanks. Aligned with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), the seminar promoted awareness of safe workplace practices, transparent grievance mechanisms, and institutional support systems, reinforcing Brainware University’s commitment to empowering future nursing professionals with knowledge, confidence, and security.
