The Department of Food & Nutrition , Brainware University successfully organized an exposure visit on Mushroom Cultivation to provide students with practical knowledge of sustainable and economically viable agricultural practices. The visit offered firsthand exposure to modern mushroom farming techniques, including substrate preparation, spawning, incubation, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and farm management practices such as hygiene, environmental control, and storage. Through interactive sessions and hands-on training, students gained valuable insights into the technical, economic, and entrepreneurial aspects of mushroom cultivation, while also understanding its role in income generation, nutritional security, sustainability, and rural development. The initiative effectively bridged academic learning with practical application and encouraged students to explore innovative agri-entrepreneurial opportunities in sustainable agriculture.
