The objective of the webinar is to help the students to navigate to assess their climate risks
and vulnerabilities, developing mitigation and adaptation plans, investing in climate-friendly technologies
and practices, engaging with policymakers and stakeholders.
Mr. Abhishek Acharya, Director in the Climate Change Finance Unit, Ministry of Finance of
India MD started the session by addressing the intersection of climate change and the financial implications for businesses. The webinar also covered various financial instruments and strategies available for businesses to support sustainability initiatives. This included green bonds, sustainable loans, and other forms of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) financing. Also discussed various effective communication with stakeholders, including investors, customers, and employees in addressing climate-related concerns.
