The Department of Hospital Management organized an industry visit to Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata, under the theme “Quality Education” to provide students with real-world exposure to healthcare operations. The visit aimed to complement classroom learning by familiarizing students with hospital administration, patient care processes, and coordination between departments, while emphasizing quality care, patient safety, and ethics.
During the visit, students were introduced to the hospital’s organizational structure, observed various departments, patient flow systems, and support services, and interacted with healthcare professionals to understand administrative procedures, quality assurance, and operational challenges.
The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, enhancing students’ understanding of hospital workflows and management practices, and improving their professional awareness and analytical skills.
