REHAB AND RUN INITIATIVE @ KOLKATA FULL MARATHON, Dept: Allied Health Sciences, Date: 08-02-2026
The participation of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University, in the Kolkata Full Marathon 2026 in collaboration with Volini as the recovery partner proved to be an outstanding success. The physiotherapy team’s presence significantly contributed to the safety, performance, and comfort of over 10,000 participants, reinforcing the crucial role of physiotherapists in sports and endurance events. The experience provided 39 physiotherapy students with valuable clinical exposure in injury prevention, event-based rehabilitation, and athlete recovery management. The collaboration received high praise from organizers and participants for professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate service. This initiative not only strengthened Brainware University’s visibility in the domain of sports medicine and public health outreach but also demonstrated the power of academic–industry partnerships in promoting fitness, recovery science, and community wellness on a large scale.
