The Colours of Republic– Celebrating Independence Day 2026 School of Nursing With Institute Innovation Council 27-01-2026
On January 26, 2026, Brainware University celebrated Republic Day with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, marking the nation’s 77th Republic Day with pride and reverence. To enhance the spirit of the occasion, the Institute of Nursing organized a university-wide poster-making competition titled “The Colours of Republic.” The initiative served as a creative platform for students from all departments to express their patriotism, artistic talent, and understanding of India’s constitutional values through visual art.
The competition aimed to commemorate Republic Day by encouraging artistic expression among the youth, promoting national integration, and fostering awareness of India’s rich democratic and cultural heritage. Activities included the flag hoisting ceremony on January 26, followed by the poster-making competition on January 27, which featured an inaugural session, creative presentation, feedback interactions, result declaration, and a formal vote of thanks.
The event also aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) by nurturing creativity and holistic learning, and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by preserving cultural heritage and fostering inclusivity through art.
“The Colours of Republic” concluded as a vibrant and meaningful tribute to India’s democratic spirit. By uniting students from across departments, the event not only highlighted their immense creativity but also reinforced a shared sense of national pride, civic awareness, and community engagement—reflecting Brainware University’s commitment to holistic education and cultural enrichment.
