
Vision Support: Free Eye Checkup Camp Allied Health Sciences in Collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating, Apollo Foundations 04-02-2026
With the aim of promoting healthy ageing and accessible eye care, the Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS), Brainware University (BWU), in collaboration with Billion Hearts Beating , Apollo Foundation, successfully organized “Vision Support: Free Eye Checkup Camp” on 4 February 2026 at Seulipur Udayan Club, Village – Seulipur, P.O. Paschimbar, Via Sabang, District – Purba Medinipur, West Bengal (PIN: 721144).
The camp was specially dedicated to elderly individuals, addressing age-related vision problems through comprehensive eye examinations, visual acuity testing, refraction assessment, and counseling on eye health and preventive care. Qualified professionals and volunteers worked together to ensure compassionate, patient-centric services, creating awareness about early detection and management of ocular conditions common in old age.
This initiative reflected a strong commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by reducing barriers to quality eye care, improving visual health, and enhancing the overall quality of life for senior citizens. The program stood as a meaningful step toward inclusive healthcare delivery, reinforcing the collective responsibility to care for the vision and well-being of our ageing population.
