The Center for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovations (CMRI), Brainware University, in collaboration with IQAC, organized an International Seminar on Sustainable Design and Engineering on April 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM onwards via Google Meet. The session was conducted by Dr. Amit Banerjee, Director of Photonics Design & Integration, Microsystems Design-Integration Lab, Dept. of Physics, Bidhan Chandra College, West Bengal, and Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Research Institute of Electronics, National University Corporation, Shizuoka University, Japan.
The seminar focused on “On-chip Integrable Terahertz Devices for Biomedical, Environmental Screening & Beyond” and explored the application of terahertz technologies in sustainable and multidisciplinary research domains. Coordinated by Prof. Atiskumar Chattopadhyay, Prof. Deepshikha Dutta, and Dr. Debayan Bhowmick, the event offered valuable insights into emerging innovations that bridge sustainability with advanced engineering practices.
