Bridging Ancient Wisdom with Modern Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Brainware University recently hosted a thought-provoking seminar titled ‘From Theory to Practice: Applying Triguna, Tridosha, Pancha Tattva & Sapta Chakra in Modern Psychological Well-being.’

The session was graced by renowned scholar and practitioner Dr. Nabanita Mukherjee, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Indian Culture and Therapy, who offered deep insights into how foundational concepts of Indian philosophy; Triguna (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas), Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), Pancha Tattva (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether), and the Sapta Chakra system, can be meaningfully integrated into modern psychological frameworks.

Dr. Mukherjee not only explained the scientific and psychosomatic basis of these traditional models but also demonstrated how aligning mind, body, and energy centers through simple daily practices can enhance emotional resilience, mental clarity, and holistic well-being.

The seminar inspired students to explore the psychological relevance of Indian metaphysics beyond theory.
