41st Foundation Day Celebration of IBRAD
The Institute of Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development (IBRAD) celebrated its 41st Foundation Day on 7th May 2025, from 2:00 PM onwards at the IBRAD Campus, Kestopur, Kolkata. The event featured the Foundation Day Lecture delivered by Professor Subho Roy, Professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, on the topic “Biocultural Dimensions of Health.” The session was chaired by Honourable Dr. Satyabrata Chakrabarti.
A Panel Discussion on “Community Engagement in Climate Resilient Urban One Health” was also conducted, jointly organized by IBRAD and the Department of Biotechnology, Brainware University. The discussion was facilitated by Professor S.B. Roy, Chairman, IBRAD, with Professor Buddhadeb Chaudhuri, Dr. Sandhimita Mondal, and Dr. Ripan Biswas as panelists. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Raktima Mukhopadhyay, Executive Director, IBRAD. The celebration highlighted interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable health and community engagement, fostering collaboration between academia and research institutions.
