Workshop: IP Management for Startups

The Department of Law, Brainware University, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a workshop on “IP Management for Startups” on 24th May 2025 at University Building VI, Room No. 207, from 4:00 PM onwards. The session aimed to familiarize students and young entrepreneurs with the fundamentals of Intellectual Property (IP) rights and their strategic management in the startup ecosystem.
The workshop featured insightful talks by Dr. Souvik Dhar and Ms. Maitrayeaa Sadhu, Assistant Professors, Department of Law, Brainware University. They discussed the significance of intellectual property protection, patent filing, copyright, and trademark registration for startups, emphasizing innovation and legal compliance. The event was coordinated by Ms. Krishna Ghosh and Dr. Pounami Basu, who ensured an interactive and informative session. The workshop successfully enriched participants’ understanding of IP management as a crucial tool for entrepreneurial growth and sustainable business development.
