Industry Visit to Flurys Bakery
The Department of Food & Nutrition, Brainware University, organized an industry visit titled “Whisking Up Knowledge: A Tasty Tour of Flurys Bakery” on May 26 and 27, 2025, at the Flurys Production Unit, Park Street, Kolkata.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to large-scale bakery production, food safety standards, and modern culinary techniques. Students observed the processes involved in baking, packaging, and quality control, gaining valuable insights into industrial food production.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Laavanya Das, who guided the students throughout the tour. The experience successfully bridged classroom learning with real-world industry practices, enhancing students’ understanding of food technology and nutrition applications.
