The seminar was inaugurated at 11 AM by Mr. Ashok Rath, eminent Prosthetist and Orthotist, Director of Ortho-Care, Kolkata, along with Dr. Abhishek Jana, Head, Dept. of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University. A welcome address was delivered by Dr. Asim Kumar Basak, President, IIC, followed by an introduction of the resource person by Dr. Sriparna De.
Mr. Rath shared his entrepreneurial journey, emphasizing innovation, market adaptability, and customer-centric approaches in building sustainable ventures. He demonstrated how technology and creativity can address medical challenges, including a live example of designing therapeutic footwear for flat feet.
In the post-lunch session, he presented case studies on developing special shoes and artificial limbs, inspiring participants with his expertise and practical insights. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Abhishek Jana, followed by participant feedback appreciating the session’s value and inspiration.
