Observation of 3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week at Brainware University; important discussions on its importance, necessity, and opportunity
On the occasion of the 3rd National Pharmacovigilance Week, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology organised a seminar on ‘Boosting public confidence in Pharmacovigilance’. “Over the past few years, the government has been focusing a lot on Pharmacovigilance. Every country is concerned about patient safety, and the Indian government has taken certain measures to ensure patient safety,” said Dr. Vivek Barik, Associate Professor, Brainware University, while addressing the students.
Debajyoti Kundu, Data Analyst, LSDO, Cognizant Technology Solutions, was also another speaker at the event who shared the various opportunities in the field of Pharmacovigilance at present.
Pharmacovigilance is the process and science of monitoring the safety of medicines and taking action to reduce the risks and increase the benefits of drugs. Pharmacovigilance is of critical importance in India, as it plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products in the country.
