Embracing Tagore: A Celebration of the Legendary Poet, Musician, Philosopher, and Visionary

Brainware University’s unique initiative, Celebrating Tagore, aims to promote the rich cultural heritage of Asia’s first Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. The main goal is to popularise the songs and works of Tagore among 1,00,000 Bengali and Non-Bengali households worldwide.

The initiative was launched at Brainware University on May 9, 2023, Tagore’s 162nd birth anniversary. In total, 100 selected songs have been translated and sung by Chancellor Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, all of which will be gradually released on Phalguni Mookhopadhayay’s YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/@pmbrainware, along with extensively researched anecdotes. Furthermore, appreciations, blogs, critical essays and research papers are being written and published on various different platforms.

This blog page, titled Celebrating Tagore is a part of this initiative which aims to engage a wider audience in understanding the cultural significance of Tagore’s writings and the timeless relevance of his ideas. Through these efforts, Celebrating Tagore hopes to inspire a new generation of readers, scholars, and artists to explore and celebrate the rich legacy left behind by this literary legend.
