WHAT IF AI COULD HELP US SEE CANCER DIFFERENTLY?

Sometimes, a breakthrough begins with a simple question:

Can technology help doctors read the smallest signs of disease with greater precision?

At Brainware University, our faculty members Chitrak Dey, Jayanta Aich, c and Saurav Mali explored that possibility through their latest research on lung cancer histopathology using Vision-Language Models.

Their work explores the potential of SigLIP’s Vision Transformer to classify lung cancer tissue images with greater accuracy and interpretability—bringing the power of AI and healthcare research closer to better-informed diagnosis.

And this research has now found its place in Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, a SCIE-indexed journal published by Elsevier, with an Impact Factor of 5.7.

From the research lab to the pages of a global scientific journal, this is more than a publication.

It is a step towards a healthier tomorrow.
