Brainware University documented a series of knowledge-exchange and outreach activities during Academic Year 2024-25 to promote sustainable agriculture, improve agricultural productivity and strengthen local food systems in support of UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger). The programmes were organised by the Agriculture unit and provided opportunities for farmers, farm workers and other stakeholders to interact with university experts and gain practical, application-oriented knowledge. The report highlights six major events covering precision agriculture, livestock management, soil fertility, sustainable resource utilisation and climate-resilient food production. These included a drone-based agricultural demonstration; a programme on soil quality and fertility integrating Indian Knowledge Systems; a lecture on information-driven soil management; and a lecture on millet cultivation and traditional agricultural knowledge.
The report includes event-wise details of dates, venues, beneficiaries, knowledge-transfer themes, outcomes and photographic evidence. These activities demonstrate the University's use of academic and technical expertise to promote resource-efficient farming, improve awareness of sustainable agricultural practices and encourage resilient food production systems.
Overall, the documented initiatives reflect Brainware University's commitment to community engagement, agricultural knowledge dissemination and sustainable food production, contributing to SDG 2 – Zero Hunger through farmer education, practical demonstrations and knowledge sharing.
