SDG 1: No Poverty  |  Metric 1.3 University anti-poverty programmes

1.3.3 Low-income student support

Brainware University’s Policy for Support to Students from Economically Disadvantaged and Low-Income Families, approved by the Governing Board, aims to promote inclusive and equitable higher education. The policy provides a framework for assisting eligible students facing financial hardship through merit-based and merit-cum-means scholarships, fee concessions, tuition-fee waivers, emergency financial assistance, hostel support, and access to essential learning resources. It also facilitates access to government and external scholarships, subsidised food arrangements, transportation facilities, academic mentoring, counselling, and student welfare services. Through transparent assessment, confidentiality, non-discrimination, and periodic monitoring, the University seeks to reduce financial barriers, strengthen student retention, and support successful continuation and completion of higher education.
